Group trips in the UAE

Dubai and Abu Dhabi between skyscrapers, desert and mosques: the long weekend made for a group.

โฑ Typical length: 4โ€“6 days๐Ÿ’ถ Budget: high๐Ÿ–๏ธ Relax๐ŸŽ‰ Partyโœˆ๏ธ Mixed

The Emirates are the four-or-five-day destination, often as a stopover towards Asia: Dubai with the Burj Khalifa, souks and beaches, Abu Dhabi with the Grand Mosque and the Louvre, the desert an hour from the city. Everything is organised, clean and easy.

Here the group makes an expensive city affordable: apartments with a view split four ways, a private desert safari, the Friday brunch tables. And whoever arrives on a different layover can join only the two Dubai days.

Don't miss

๐Ÿ’ก The group tip

Book the Burj Khalifa for sunset well in advance and for everyone together. For the desert choose a private excursion: with six people it costs as much as the shared one but stops where you want.

Documents and entry

Visa exemption up to 90 days; passport with at least 6 months of validity.

Frequently asked questions

How many days for Dubai and Abu Dhabi?

Four or five: two in Dubai, one in Abu Dhabi, one in the desert. Ideal as a long layover towards Asia or Australia, and on Worldmates you can join only the city days.

Do I need a visa for the UAE?

Most European citizens enter visa-free for tourism with a valid passport. Check the current rules with your foreign office.

Is Dubai expensive?

Lodging and venues are pricey, but transport, neighbourhood food and public beaches are cheap. Groups split apartments and excursions, and it shows.
