Group trips in Nepal
Himalayan trekking, stupas and lodges with a view: the right group makes all the difference at altitude.
Nepal is the country of accessible trekking: Poon Hill in four days, Annapurna Base Camp in a week, Everest Base Camp in twelve. You sleep in village lodges, eat dal bhat, walk among rhododendrons and eight-thousanders. Kathmandu and Pokhara add temples, stupas and a lake.
It is the destination where a close-knit group matters most: you share guide and porters, wait for each other on the passes, watch each other for altitude sickness. With modular participation, those who skip the trek can join only Kathmandu and Pokhara.
Upcoming trips in Nepal
No trip is scheduled right now. Organise it yourself: publish the itinerary, others ask to join and you approve.
When to go
October–November: clear skies after the monsoon, the best views of the year. March–April: rhododendrons in bloom, more haze. December–February is cold at altitude but fine on low treks; June–September is monsoon.
Don't miss

💡 The group tip
One guide plus one porter for every two people: with six walkers the cost per head drops and you walk safer. Agree the pace and acclimatisation days beforehand: above 3,500 metres nobody pushes.

Do I need experience for a trek in Nepal?
For Poon Hill and Annapurna Base Camp you only need to be fit and used to walking; Everest Base Camp requires more days and care with altitude. As a group you pick the trek that suits everyone.
Do I need a visa for Nepal?
Yes, obtained on arrival at the airport (or online beforehand) for a fee, for 15, 30 or 90 days. Treks also require protected-area permits. Check your foreign office.
How much does a group trek cost?
Lodges are very cheap if you eat there; guide, porters and permits are the main items and are shared. The flight to Lukla (Everest) is the single biggest cost.
