Group trips in Turkey

Istanbul, the balloons of Cappadocia and the turquoise coast: huge variety two hours' flight away.

⏱ Typical length: 7–12 days💶 Budget: low🏛️ Culture✈️ Mixed🏖️ Relax

Turkey offers in one trip a metropolis across two continents, a lunar landscape with the caves of Cappadocia, the white terraces of Pamukkale and a Mediterranean coast to be lived by boat. Cheap, frequent flights make it a destination even for a single week.

As a group Cappadocia is unbeatable: cave houses are rented whole, the balloon flight is booked for everyone at the same dawn, and the gulets of the Lycian coast are chartered for eight or twelve with crew.

April–June and September–October to do it all: mild Istanbul, Cappadocia with balloons, sea already or still warm. July–August is muggy inland but perfect for the coast; winter gives you Cappadocia under snow.

Don't miss

💡 The group tip

The Istanbul–Kayseri domestic flight is cheap and saves a night bus: book it together. For the balloon pick one operator for the whole group, so you fly in the same basket.

Visa exemption up to 90 days; valid passport or national ID card.

Frequently asked questions

How many days for Istanbul and Cappadocia?

Seven days: three in Istanbul, three in Cappadocia, one for the transfer. With ten you add Pamukkale and Ephesus or a few beach days on the coast.

Do I need a visa for Turkey?

Most European citizens enter visa-free for tourism with a valid passport or, for some countries, a national ID card. Check your foreign office before leaving.

Is Turkey cheap?

Yes: food, transport and lodging cost little compared with Western Europe. The balloon flight is the single biggest expense, which is why many groups pick it as a shared treat.
